Our family of 5 had a great experience. All of us were able to stand up and surf, and we enjoyed it so much we rented boards from them the next day.
We wanted to thank Luis, Grehel, Tasha, Piki, and Josy.
From the intake, to the lessons, to the photo package that I recommend to have memories to take home with you.
Safety was kept at the utmost importance, from their concern of my previously injured knee, to keeping a watchful eye on our youngest.

Great Surf Trip thanks to Iguana Surf
I booked the the Ultimate Iguana Surf Camp package in December 2024. This includes 7 nights in a shared dorm, shuttle to/from the airport, 5 surf lessons, 1 surf trip, video/photos, and unlimited surfboard rentals for the duration of the week. Everything was well organized/coordinated via Whatsapp (thanks Oscar). The airport pickup was super easy and convenient. The hostel itself is well managed as is the surf shop. The instructors were all great, especially Luis. Every single member of the staff was super helpful with questions/recommendations. Tamarindo is a great place to learn to surf. Location is also super convenient, though, Tamarindo itself isn't too big. If you're looking for place to learn to surf, don't over think it, just book and enjoy. Pura Vida!
