Jungle Jam V Music Festival in Jaco

For the fifth consecutive year Jaco is proud to host Jungle Jam, a 4 day musical festival drawing major performing artists from Costa Rica, the United States, the UK and Jamaica. The festival, which is a major draw for the Pacific beach town will be a great chance for visitors to the area to experience one of the biggest events that takes place in the region with big name performers like Thievery Corporation and Slightly Stoopid.

In addition to the international headliners that will be gracing the three different stages of Jungle Jam, Jaco will be seeing a rise in tourism just weeks before Semana Santa, one of the largest holidays in Costa Rica. Jungle Jam V takes place from March 19-22 with Semana Santa just 2 weeks after. For visitors to the area, it’s a great time to check out the local sights, experience the music festival, and participate in local festivities.

No trip to Jaco would be complete without catching some waves and what better way to spend a multi-day music festival than by squeezing in some surf sessions between sets. The festival will take place on three different stages with afternoon concerts on Jaco Beach and The Beach Stage, the evening performances on The Main Stage located within Jaco’s Hotel DoceLunas, and The Late Night Stage which promises to see some collaboration sets from some of the festivals top musicians and DJ sets from Congo Sanchez and Rob Garza of Thievery Corporation.

Aside from checking out the bands and catching some waves, visitors to the area can also fit in some other activities like zip lining, horseback riding, sea kayaking, fishing, or exploring the national park, Manuel Antonio. Nearby to Jaco, visitors and festival goers alike can discover the other beautiful beaches of Guanacaste, like Tamarindo, Playa Avellanas, Playa Grande, and Flamingo Beach. Some of Costa Rica’s most renowned surf spots, such as Witch’s Rock and Ollie’s Point are in the Guanacaste region so a quick trip before or after Jungle Jam V is easy and definitely worth putting together.
