Your guide, native to the area, will help to spot wildlife such as Toucans, Capuchin monkeys, Howler Monkeys, Turkeys, Coatis, and much more. Volcanic activity such as bubbling mud pots, fumaroles, and a mini crater can be seen throughout the hike. You guide will explain the area’s history and many interesting facts about the local flora and fuana. After the hike you will be given a chance to change and we will take a short walk off the beaten path to Oropendola Waterfall just outside of the park. Here you can jump in and take a refreshing swim in the blue lagoon below the 60 foot falls. Then we head over to a ranch where you will eat a typical Costa Rican lunch with fresh fruit juice while watching horses graze in the pasture. We end the day at the soothing hot springs of Rio Negro naturally heated by the Volcano where you can do a soothing volcanic mud bath before heading back to your hotel.
